Introduction

Prostate‑specific membrane antigen (PSMA), also known as folate hydrolase 1 (FOLH1), is a transmembrane glycoprotein consisting of extracellular C‑terminal domain, transmembrane segment and cytoplasmic N‑terminus. The extracellular region accounts for 95 % of total protein mass and serves as the primary recognition site for peptides, aptamers, small‑molecule compounds and antibodies.
